I have in fact solved many mystery ailments and continue to do so. &nbsp;Many of which were in fact solved by one supplement at the time. &nbsp;I scour the forums, chat rooms, blogs and listen to and pay attention to each detail of each victim. It is always something that leaves the ductors scratching there heads, and sending you on your way with yet another prescription. &nbsp;Not one of them asking, what are you eating, how often are you exercising, nothing about your environment.&nbsp;</p><p>And the fact is, they get bombarded daily by folks that are walking in the front door with one different ailment at a time. I cant even imagine the stress of a doctors day, trying to figure out one after another what the problem is and how to treat it. And lets be honest, how many of them walk to the back, hop on the internet and look up the symptoms? &nbsp;Treatments? &nbsp;I can only imagine how burnt out one must get. it seems it would get to the point of just writing a prescription and sending them on their way would be the simple thing to do. &nbsp;I get it, I really do, but the doc is the one that makes the big bucks and decided one day that he/she wanted to help people, make a difference, be a part of the community and do something good while earning a great living. &nbsp;</p><h3>Is it Me Or Are The Maintenance Plans Getting More Expensive?</h3><p><br>When I walked into the second to last dermatologist appointment, I was greeted by the doctor and two interns, the interns where young in their 20's (male and female) and the doctor in her mid 40's. &nbsp;She walked in, raised the front of my shirt and walked around behind me and raised the back of my shirt and said, "wow, you have severe psoriasis. All of them, meaning I had all the different types and she was right. &nbsp;She handed me 3 folders, with three different treatments. She said "take them home, research them and pick one". The three where Tremfya, Otezla and Skyrizi.&nbsp;</p><p><em>I went on to see two more docs after that one, only because I was desperate at this point.</em></p><p>The next one wanted to slice and dice me to make sure it was not cancer, the one after wanted me to do clinical trials and there was a good chance I could get a placebo, not the actual medication and if I did get the medication and it did work and it did go to market, I would have to wait two years until I got it. &nbsp;Here I was again back at square A. &nbsp;So that's when I really dug in and really started hitting the back pages on Google and other search engines. Month after month, day after day, taking notes, fact checking, more notes and more fact checking. Until I finally had an &nbsp;"AH-HA" moment, and then another and another and another. &nbsp;The absolute question to all of the madness is "why" and "how" did all of this happen in the first place? It did not just start from nothing, something happened that triggered it, most of us where not born with it. And that is all the crap that has to be cleared out of the way, one puzzle piece at a time. Eventually you start to see a picture and my picture is as clear as clear can be. This all comes down to a post on Reddit, a major break through on psoriasis 2024. and boy was it a break through, the entire post lit up like a Christmas tree, some happy some sad, however it is the beginning of the end of psoriasis, but they all said the same thing " I have that problem as well".</p><h3>Iron and The Connection to Psoriasis&nbsp;</h3><p>The post was about a major breakthrough with people that had an iron overload in the skin, it is delivered through a hormone called hepcidin. Hepcidin controls the amount of iron our body takes in.&nbsp; Iron is something we all take for granted, it is in most meats and many vegetables. This is one of the first things a doctor does when you enter the exam room if you are not feeling well, they test your oxygen and pulse level with a simple oxygen monitor, know as a pulse oximeter.&nbsp; It checks your oxygen simply by using light, and your pulse from your heart beat.&nbsp;</p><p>Iron is dedremental to your health and often overlooked as an important mineral needed for a healthy and functioning immune system. It is essential for growth by creating myoglobin, which provides oxygen and developement in healthy muscles and skin.&nbsp;</p><p>The big break and research team that unvelied this new hope was a team led by <a data-mce-href="https://researchportal.bath.ac.uk/en/persons/charareh-pourzand" href="https://researchportal.bath.ac.uk/en/persons/charareh-pourzand" title="Dr. Charareh Pourzand">Dr. Charareh Pourzand</a>, from the University of Bath's Department of Life Sciences, Centre for Therapeutic Innovation, and Centre for Bioengineering and Biomedical Technologies, in hopes this discovery will pave the way for new drugs that can inhibit the hormone's activity.&nbsp;</p><p>While I do find much of the research a step in the right direction I also think it is in plain site and they are overlooking some very simple obovious conclusions, what does the body do if it is to low on iron, or has to much? Low iron and the connection with mold spores. We breathe mold spores daily and boy does this open a lot of aha's.&nbsp; I do wish them the best and more importantly a solution to this horrific disease. People need an affordable solution and they need it fast.&nbsp; It is a fast growing world wide problem, and while I feel they are missing the big picture, maybe they and other doctors will come together and figure it out.
